Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Tojoadventures Suriname, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains our cancellation, refund, and rescheduling rules to ensure clarity and fairness for all parties.


1. Booking Confirmation



A booking will be considered confirmed once a deposit of 25% of the total tour amount has been received and a confirmation email has been sent to the customer.


2. Customer Cancellations

If you cancel your tour, the following terms apply:

  • 30 days or more before the tour start date:
    Full refund minus any non-refundable transaction or administrative fees.
  • 15–29 days before the tour start date:
    50% refund of the total booking amount.
  • 14 days or less before the tour start date:
    No refund.
  • No-shows:
    No refund will be issued.

3. Rescheduling

  • Requests to reschedule must be made at least 14 days before the tour start date.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and only applies to group bookings or bookings where the minimum required deposit for the full tour has been paid.
  • Any price differences resulting from the new travel date may apply.

4. Tour Operator Cancellations

TojoAdventures Suriname reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour due to:

  • Unsafe weather or environmental conditions
  • Insufficient participants
  • Safety concerns
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, political unrest)

In such cases, customers will be offered:

  • A full refund or
  • The option to reschedule to a later date

No additional compensation (such as flights, accommodation, or personal expenses) will be provided.


5. Weather Conditions

Tours operate rain or shine unless conditions pose a safety risk. Weather-related discomfort is not grounds for a refund.


6. Health, Fitness & Participation

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit for the tour. No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to personal health issues unless otherwise stated.


7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method.
  • Bank or payment provider fees may be deducted.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, and trip interruptions.
